THE FREMANTLE PRISON DIARIES

The prison was transferred for the colonial govt in 1886 for use for domestically sentenced prisoners. Pursuing a Royal Fee held in 1898−99, some modifications had been made to Fremantle Prison, such as knocking down the inner wall involving two cells, introducing a prisoner classification program, and constructing inner walls in the most crucial
